Today while I was looking for a photo of Andy Griffith as Lonesome Rhodes in A Face In The Crowd I found an image I could hardly take my eyes off of. Who is this? I wondered. The photo was labeled “Betty Brosmer” which of course sent me on a quest to find out who exactly Betty Brosmer is.

I quickly discovered that I was embarrassingly ignorant on the subject due to the fact that Brosmer was one of the most famous glamour models and sex symbols of the 1950s.

Okay now how did I miss that? How could someone like that have flown under the pop culture radar for so long without me ever hearing of her? Everyone has heard of Bettie Page but how many of you know of Betty Brosmer?
